Congratulations to S-Squared friend and client Morgan Batton on the purchase of Cypress WT! “Forrest” was meticulously bred by Kathy Schultz at Wishing Tree Farm, home base to S-Squared Eventing. This colt has everything it takes to make it to the top levels of eventing and Morgan has all the expertise to get him there, and we are so happy he’s staying in the S-Squared family so we can watch him grow into a superstar!!
Congratulations to Morgan Batton on the purchase of Toby the Coal Man! We are so excited that Toby will stay in the S-Squared family, and we look forward to watching these two progress!
Please mark your calendars for the silent auction benefiting the owners who lost their horses in the Brookwood Equestrian Center barn fire on January 31. S-Squared Eventing is donating a package of 8 lessons, valued at over $400, and Seminole Feed is donating two prizes of 10 bags of feed each. There will be plenty of other great items to bid on as well! Please come out and support members of our area equine family.

The cross country clinic at Gibbes Farm in SC this past weekend was a huge success for everyone involved. The riders all braved the cold on Saturday and spent the day concentrating on the technical elements of cross country. Sunday was much warmer, and riders got to have a bit of fun and open the pipes over some gallop fences and course work. Everyone ended the weekend with their winter cobwebs knocked off, feeling confident and ready to go!

The S-Squared team took the trip to Texas to compete at the American Eventing Championships, and what an excellent show it was! Holly Breaux and Flecken Awesome just barely missed being in the ribbons, adding only a rail to their dressage score. Jamie Mitchell and His Highness added only a few time penalties to their dressage score and really ate up the touch Novice course. Beth and Kristin Tessman’s Atlas finished in 14th due to a rider error on xc, but Baby Atlas was a super star all week. Beth and Beth Huddleston’s Giselle WON the Beginner Novice Horse division on their dressage score of 26.7 – leading all the way from the start!
